The sculpture of MARCED reflects past pleasures, which often revolved around escaping the weight and monotony of one's own life. The artist frequently grew bored with reality, which seemed too dull. Longer or shorter moments spent in virtual reality served as a means of forgetting. Fortunately, today the artist feels quite alive. Real life has proven to be more interesting because now he creates fictions within it, rather than the other way around. The artist has the impression that sometimes we are all surprised to be alive, to have real blood flowing within us, to be able to direct our own lives, and to be surrounded by other people. We become aware that we can die, sometimes leaving no trace. When the boundary between reality and life blurs, it is easy to reach for illusion, becoming artificially who we want to be, forgetting our living reality.
